Putin says Russia pursues constructive international relations

MOSCOW, Sep 4 (PRIME) -- Russia pursues constructive relations with the interested foreign partners and is open for dialogue on a wide range of urgent issues, President Vladimir Putin said in an address to the participants of the Eastern Economic Forum released on Monday.

“The main topic of this year’s meeting – The Path to Partnership, Peace, and Prosperity – reflects Russia’s desire to build constructive relations with all interested foreign partners," Putin said.

"Our country is fully open to an inclusive dialogue on the pressing regional issues and has every intention of continuing to participate actively in the efforts to nurture relations between the states of the Asia-Pacific region and contribute to a system based on equality, mutual benefit, and respect for the legitimate interests of all.”

New logistic chains and food security questions will be discussed at roundtable talks during the forum, he said.

He added that the forum has traditionally focused on social and infrastructural development of Russia's Far East and on cooperation with states in Pacific Asia.
